Winter wonderland
Good morning everyone, here is my make for today. I am entering this into the Faery Ink November 2015 Challenge. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.1646059252331881&type=1
Card recipe:
White cardstock from crafty stash
Backing card from a free paper pad which came with a magazine
Green satin board from Create and Craft
Tonic circle dies
Sentiment from Hunkydory
Corner punch
Faery Ink Arielle and Ian snowball fight digi image coloured with Copics and Prismacolor pencils
Glitter
Pebeo white acrylic paint
Tim Holtz distress inks
Drawing Gum from Sheena Douglass
Tattered Lace snowy die
To create this card I scored and folded a sheet of A4 white card to make a 16cm x 16cm square card blank.
To this I added a smaller piece of backing card which had been rounded on all four corners.
To create my background, I covered the digi image with the drawing gum, left to dry and then used the distress inks by swiping across a piece of acetate which I had die cut with the snowy die. Once this had dried I rubbed off the drawing gum which left my image completely white. I then coloured this using the Copics and Prismacolour pencils, added the glitter using wet glue and the snow dots using an embossing tool dipped in the white acrylic paint (Barbara Gray showed this technique one morning on TV which I thought was a fantastic tip).
Next I used the circle dies to cut out my image and a slightly larger one in the satin board. After matt and layering these I added to my main card using foam tape.
Finally, I added my sentiment to the top left hand side of my finished card.
Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you like my make for today.

Hi everyone, here is another Christmas card from me, decoupage, which is something I haven't done in a long time.
Card recipe:
Card blank and sentiment from Creatief Art - Staf Wesenbeek
Decoupage sheets also from Creatief Art - Staf Wesenbeek
Crafters Companion glue gel
To create the card I used one of the embossed card blanks together with the matching decoupage sheet which came in the set.
I must say I really enjoyed doing this as I haven't done it for a long time and I have actually had this kit for at least 3 years.

Mini stepper
Hi everyone, here is a mini stepper card.
Card recipe:
Red cardstock from crafty stash
Green cardstock from crafty stash
Decoupage leaves and flowers from My Craft Studio
Tattered Lace free mini stepper card with magazine
To create this card I cut the red card with the main mini stepper die, then the green card with the matts and finally the oval in red.
I added some flower embellishments to the main panel.
I don't think I would use this as an actual card, it only measures 3in x 2.5in, but they would make great place names around a table or for a wedding seating plan.

18th Birthday
Hi everyone, here is an 18th birthday card I have been working on for a customer. Its for her son.
Card recipe:
White embossed card blank
Backing paper from DCWV
Tattered Lace gramophone and number dies
Old CD
Rubber stamps sentiment and name
Black cardstock from crafty stash
White cardstock from crafty stash
Kenny K Anime DJ digi image coloured with Copics and Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils
Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink
To create this card I used a 7in x 7in white embossed card blank.
To this I added a piece of backing paper, then added the 18th on the top left hand corner, the gramophone on the bottom left hand corner and the CD to the right hand side in the middle.
I stamped the happy birthday & Tom onto the CD using a black archival ink.
This image was actually a girl with pigtails. As I wanted a DJ image for a male I cut off her pigtails and adapted so that it reflected a male image (I hope). After colouring my image I fussy cut around him and added him to the CD using foam tape. Finally, I added a small verse to the top right hand side.
This is the inside of the card where I used two verses.
All three verses were chosen by my customer so I hope she likes how I have used them.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my card.
Better still, I hope my customer likes it.

Advent Calendar
Good morning everyone, here is an advent calendar I have been working on for several weeks. My grandchildren are really too old for this now, but they still love counting down to Christmas, so I hope they like this one.
Recipe:
White cardstock from crafty stash
Backing card from DVWV
Hougie Board
Backing papers from Kanban
Wet Glue
Tattered Lace number and square dies
Different coloured corrugated card
I got the inspiration to create this calendar from Quick Cards made easy magazine.
Box Base: You need to cut white card measuring 11cm x 11cm, then score all four sides at 3cm. Cut a notch in each of the corners where the score lines are to form your box base. Glue each tab and leave to dry.
Box Lid: You need to cut white card measuring 8.5cm 8.5cm, then score all four sides at 1.5cm, cut notches as with the base and glue together to form the lid, leave to dry.
Take a strong piece of white card measuring 12in x 12in, then a strong piece of patterned card measuring 11.5in x 11.5in. This forms the base to hold the boxes.
Cut 25 small squares to fit the lids of the boxes leaving a small border around the edge in patterned paper or card and stick to the tops of the box lids.
I die cut the numbers from some pretty coloured corrugated card which I have had for a long time and stuck them randomly onto the lids.
Finally, I stuck all my boxes onto the base and glued with wet glue.
My advent calendar is now ready for some really nice chocs to go in.
Thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope you like my advent calendar.

Christmas sleigh
Hi everyone, here is another Christmas card from me.
Card recipe:
White cardstock from crafty stash
Spellbinders heirloom bauble die
Tim Holtz distress inks
Freebie backing paper from a magazine
Stamped sleigh and sentiment also free with the magazine
Black archival ink from Rangers
To create this card I scored and folded a sheet of A4 white card to make a 15cm x 15cm square card blank. To this I added a smaller piece of backing paper.
I placed the bauble die onto a piece of 15cm x 15cm white smooth paper, taped down securely and inked through the die using it as a stencil. Next I stamped my sleigh image into the centre and then the sentiment to the right hand side.
After taking my tape and die away I was left with a piece of paper which had ink where I didn't want it! lol another happy accident, so I cut around the image leaving the white border. In the end I was very happy with what I achieved.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you like my card.
