Sisters of Craft June 2015 Challenge

Good morning everyone, can you believe we are celebrating our 1st anniversary this month.  Thank you all for joining us over the last year and we look forward to seeing your creations over the future months.

This month we have two sponsors, The East Wind and Lacy Sunshine.

Here is my first DT make for June 2015 Challenge using an image from The East Wind and as always the theme is "Anything Goes".  We would love you to join in the challenge here

White cardstock from crafty stash
Backing paper from The Paper Stash
The East Wind Aurora Reindeer digi image coloured with Copics
Sentiment from Hunkydory

To create this card I cut a circle and folded it in half to make the rocker.  I cut around the image and added it to the front of the rocker securing it by foam pads.

Finally, I added the sentiment on the lower right-hand side.

Here is my second DT card for  this month using an image by Lacy Sunshine.

White cardstock from crafty stash
Black cardstock from crafty stash
Backing paper from Pollyanna Pickering Best of Breeds CD
Sentiment from My Paper Stash
Spellbinders flower and leave dies
Tonic fancy rectangle dies
Black Promarker
Lacy Sunshine Reels of Film Rory digi image coloured with Copics and Spectrum Noir pencils

To create this card I scored and folded a piece of white card to measure 16.5cm x 15cm.

I then matt and layered a smaller piece of the backing paper onto black card and attached to the front of my main card.

Next, I used the Tonic fancy rectangle dies and cut the image, another smaller piece of backing paper and black card which I layered together then adhered at an angle to the front of my card.

I cut a strip of the backing paper and added it to the lower left-hand side of the card to look like more film.

Finally, I added the sentiment, again matt and layered, together with the flower and leaves which I air sprayed with the black Promarker.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my DT makes for this month.

  1. Love the rocker card, and the layout on the Reels of Film Rory card. Creative Blessings, Tracy x

  2. Both great cards Wendy, very creative design and layouts, love the way you've "rolled the film" on the Lacy Sunshine one xx

  3. Both cards are stunning wendy, your colouring on her hair on the rocker card is beautiful and love the film rolled up too x

I very much appreciate you visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I read every one and would love it if you became a follower of my blog.
